For over 40 years, FERIDIES has been delivering the finest quality specialty nuts and snacks. FERIDIES proudly concede they are quite "picky" about their peanuts. Each year their family only selects the largest 2% of the crop and gently roast them by hand in pure peanut oil to insure their distinct, rich peanut taste while maintaining the healthy qualities of an already natural delicious snack. Family owned and operated since 1973, FERIDIES has been devoted to promoting the Virginia peanut around the world.

Since 1951, the Gurganus Family has been farming Quality Virginia Peanuts in Southampton County. The Gurganus Family purchased the Peanut Buying Station in 1990 to buy area farmers’ peanuts and in 1991 the Gurganus Peanut Outlet opened to sell their family grown Virginia peanuts for retail. Sixteen years and three expansions later, they now offer a wide variety of cooked and raw peanut products, Virginia Hams and bacon, and an assortment of homemade crafts.

As the story goes, in 1954 Dot Hubbard developed a great recipe and technique for cooking Virginia peanuts. Friends and family loved her special peanuts and soon, through word of mouth, a true mail order business was born. Today, Hubs peanuts are shipped to most places around the world and can be found in a wide variety of stores throughout the United States. And today, Hubs are still cooked in Sedley, right where they were originally born.

The Newsoms Peanut Shop got its start in the year 1980 in Nancy Epps Bunn’s kitchen with her cooking her famous home-cooked and country packed peanuts. After a few location changes (all within the Town of Newsoms also known as the “Home of the Jumbo Peanut”) the Newsoms Peanut Shop continues to satisfy people all over the U.S. and abroad. The Bunn family still does all the work from cooking to processing and packaging their peanuts.

Parker’s Peanuts grew from the vision of US Air Force LT. Colonel Fred Parker, while serving our country for three decades. Today, the Parker family still uses the original recipe, roasting our delicious, unique and crunchy peanuts in pure peanut oil.
